In Episode 89 of the Orange Cactus Coffee Podcast, we talked about getting negative feedback, out coffee experiences, the coffees were drinking, and what’s going on with us. I told a story about trying to find Half and Half at Texaco, and my experience tracking it down at Circle K. The creamer was for the single origin Guatemalan that Mike recently roasted for me.
For our Coffee Experience, I talked about visiting several cafes, including The Porch coffee shop. It’a new cafe in Prescott, AZ that is attached to a church. They used Elevate Coffee in north Phoenix as their roaster, and they listed their affiliation with a church as a reason for using them. This brought up a conversation about tracking down supplies that are the best quality or tracking suppliers who align with your values. I also relayed a poor experience I had at one of my favorite local coffee shops. Say no to Blood Orange Mochas for Halloween.
Then Mike brought up the concept of dealing with negative online behavior. We were recently told that we suck, and we were very happy to receive the feedback. Then I gave an update on my life with the Breville Espresso machine. Spoiler alert: The wife didn’t kill me.
I hope you enjoy this episode. It’s a little shorter than what we’ve been doing lately, but hopefully still good.
