Our Brew Tip of the Week, we turned to an excellent article on Perfect Daily Grind where they interviewed Ben Jones to talk about Aeropress recipes. It’s a terrific article, and Ben recommends manipulating heat, volume of water, press pressure, and the amount of paper and metal Able filters.
Mike talked about his disappointment with not receiving his December dripper on time, and as he followed the comments online and in social media, there was not much communication regarding the status of the drippers.
We also talked about getting water on the side of the filter when making pour-over coffee. Mike did some extensive tests and does not believe that hitting the side of the filter with water will keep the water from touching the ground coffee.
Mike talked about an article he read by Emma Janzen from Imbibe Magazine that talked about pre-ground coffee that is from the same company that makes the Phoenix 70: St. Anthony’s Industries. This new company may take over as our favorite brand crush. The brewers, glasses, and accessories look very cool.
