In Episode 54, Mike and I plugged the new Special Edition (Episode 56) of our show we planned for Friday, June 9th. Scott Rao joins us that day to answer your questions. You can submit your questions for Scott Rao through us. Sling ’em.
Manny G Recommended vacuum sealing excess roasted coffee beans you have at home. The key, he said, was to ensure you vacuum seal the beans each time you break the seal and use the coffee. Use it? Reseal it. Manny conducted an experiment at home and found the coffee he vacuum sealed and froze was as fresh as when he first bought them.
For our Coffee Reviews, Mike told us about his journey trying to find the King Cup offering. So, what that means, is Mike is buying lots of green beans and trying to find a cup of coffee worthy for a king. I confessed to drinking some decaf Mike roasted a long time ago. We also acknowledged a correction to Episode 53, where Chris Griffith misspoke and called a cafe in Orlando by the wrong name. The correct name is Second Crack Coffee, and to make up for us getting their name wrong, I ordered two bags from them.
For Coffee Experiences, I talked about my trip to Thanks a Latte. It’s a cafe in Camp Verde, AZ, and I visited it a few weeks ago when we were in town for the excellent Weekend Wars the high school runs for youth and high school wrestlers. Thanks a Latte offered the Yama Cold Brew Dripper and the Hot Top Home Roaster.
For our Orange Cactus Coffee Update, I confessed to getting our Saguaro Coffee and the Zero-Profit hats up on our store, powered by Shopify. Big shout outs to Shopify.
And big shout outs to you for joining us. Thank you so much for listening and joining us on our coffee journey! You mean the world to me.
