Hidden barriers. Starting a business is very challenging but often it’s the unforeseen issues that can be the most frustrating. We discuss a few we’ve encountered.
Instant Specialty Coffee. Instant coffee has been around for a long time but more recently we’re seeing a rise in specialty instant coffee. We discuss our experience with Sudden coffee and mention a few newcomers that we’re hoping to try.
Coffee Experience. We also talked about Mike getting a bunch of mochas in the drive-thru at Method for a boxing gym’s Grand Opening. How many drinks is too many in the drive-thru? Does it matter if it’s not busy? And lastly, is paying $4.50 for a drink just a given? What seemed expensive to me at one time seems rather ordinary to me now.
Saint Anthony’s Phoenix 70. We finally pulled the trigger on the Phoenix 70. With only a couple brews under our belt, we discuss our first impressions, what we like and what we don’t. Does the additional 10° make it a better brewer than the V60? We hope to soon find out.
